Transit yard management
Vehicles in transit yards – light rail cars and/or busses – are not only parked in transit yards. They need to be guided to maintenance, cleaning and fueling services.

Goal
Improve transit yard efficiency through automated vehicle detection, localization and guidance.
nanotron's find technology is able to locate tagged vehicles from the moment of entering a transit yard.
Position and orientation can be constantly monitored.

Vehicles moving at full speed (e.g. 60km/h) are safely detected
while entering the transit yard area.
Solution
The location infrastructure consists of anchors connected to the location engine and server.
Signals from vehicle-mounted tags are constantly received by the location infrastructure.
System elements in this solution
- nanoANQ.
- Location engine and server: nanoLES (software).
- Vehicle tags that can be mounted directly onto the roof of busses and light rail cars.
- Tools: nanoPAL RTLS Toolbox and Ranging Kit RK-II
