nanoPAL RTLS Toolbox
Nanotron RTLS
With its People and Asset Locating technology (PAL) Nanotron has simplified Real Time Locations Systems (RTLS). Location accuracy of 2m indoors and high throughput of more than 200 location readings per second has been combined with ease of installation.
The nanoPAL RTLS Toolbox allows system integrators to show-case the performance of Nanotron.s RTLS, experience the ease of installation and understand the interfaces to other elements of the overall business solution. It provides the tools required to integrate location awareness with vertical-specific business applications.
RTLS System Elements
The toolbox provides enough nanoANQ RTLS Anchors that cover an area of 500 m². It is delivered in a light-weight aluminum container. A number of nanoTAG tags with configurable blink rate demonstrate system throughput.
Location Engine and Server
Developers of RTLS and RFID middleware use the nanoPAL RTLS Toolbox for integrating their products with the nanoLES RTLS Location Engine and Server. nanoLES combines wireless anchor synchronization, location calculation, and tag-payload transmission. It interfaces with the location infrastructure, the business application and the management client for system set-up and maintenance. The product is developed in native C++. External interfaces are based on UDP or TCP/IP.
The development version of the nanoLES Location Engine and Server includes a Location GUI and a Management Client. Both serve as a functional reference during software integration.
Toolbox Content
In addition to anchors and tags supporting elements for a quick RTLS installation are included: PoE switches, the Tag Configuration Station, Nanotron.s RTLS Set-Up-Tool, antennas, USB cables, and a PoE cabling option.
Methodology
Once the nanoANQ devices are mounted and connected to the server through PoE their physical location will be made available for nanoLES with the help of the Management Client. Using the RTLS Set-Up-Tool the user can check radio coverage and optimize anchor positions. The tool can be put in critical positions to record CDF data providing objective information on location accuracy.
Equipped with a working RTLS installation the user can start software integration. Dedicated system set-up and maintenance functionality is added and nanoLES is connected with the business application that now becomes location-aware.
Nanotron provides technical support through its team of qualified field application engineers for quick time to market.
