Mine safety
Operators of heavy machinery such as dump trucks require full visibility at all times to avoid severe accidents that can occur if smaller vehicles or people do not comply 100% with safety rules on designated routes.
Goal
Automatically protect machines, people and infrastructure from collision damages.
Prevent collisions by making machine operators and workers aware of dangerous situations
early enough that counter measures could be safely executed.
nanotron's protect technology constantly monitors the distance between radio nodes. If the distance deviates too far from a pre-set value a proximity alarm is triggered. In most of the Mine Safety applications the alarm will indicate "too close", "not far enough" or "violating the virtual safety zone".
Solution
Tags are mounted on machinery and are carried by workers. Each tag monitors the tags that are
within close proximity and triggers an alarm if preset safety zones are violated.
Asset tags signal the remaining distance to oncoming vehicles.
