Dr. Jens N. Albers
Dr. Albers has been with Nanotron Technologies as CEO since September 2004. Prior to Nanotron, he was active in several companies in the US and Europe. His roles included founding member, executive management and CEO, as well as member of the board. This includes his responsibility at Multilink Technology Corp., a publicly traded company in Somerset, New Jersey, and leading provider of advanced mixed-signal and VLSI solutions that accelerate the deployment of optical networks. As co-founder of Multilink as well as its Executive Vice President and Co-Chairman, Dr. Albers oversaw the company's strategy and new initiatives. He built up the global product realization team (marketing, sales, and engineering) and supported the company's expansion and financing activities (funding by US corporate and VC's) including a successful initial public offering in 2001. Furthermore, he built successful relationships with top-tier telecommunication customers. Other engagements and areas of interest included technology and communication, but also security and safety businesses. Dr. Albers studied electronics and economics and holds a Ph.D. (scl) in Electrical Engineering from Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
Dr. Thomas Foerste
Thomas Foerste joined Nanotron as VP Marketing & Sales from LSI. At LSI he led European Business Development for Telecom and Networking products. Thomas Foerste had started his career building a chip design team as part of the Soviet Space program. He then moved into Marketing and Sales and took senior positions with AT&T Microelectronics, Lucent Technologies and later Agere Systems. Dr. Foerste graduated in VLSI chip design and holds a Ph.D. in Semiconductor Devices from Technical University Dresden.
Axel Jahnke
Axel Jahnke joined Nanotron from Wipro Technology where he was the General Manager for the European VLSI Design Services of Wipro/NewLogic with teams in Europe and in India. Previously, he held positions at NewLogic as Vice President Engineering, at Multilink as Director VLSI Design, as well as at Infineon and Siemens. Mr. Jahnke holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Technical University Berlin.
Corné van Puijenbroek
Corné van Puijenbroek joined Nanotron as Vice President Technology with more then 20 years of experience in the wireless and fabless semiconductor industry. Corné van Puijenbroek started his career at Philips Semiconductors and at Ericsson, in the Netherlands, in Sweden and in the USA. Later he founded Xanadu Wireless, now GreenPeak Technologies, and has held senior positions with Lucent Technologies, and Adcon AG, as well as several European fabless semiconductor startups. Corné holds a B.Sc. in Electronics from IHBO Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
